Determine the nature of your association with others

Most often we find that relationships loses the flavours of their much hyped beginnings. When this happens the relationship becomes passive and it is left to occasional Hi's and Bye's. This can be the result of us expecting to be entertained. This is not wrong however selfish it may sound when it comes to friends. After all friendship is suppose to add taste and give the needed flavour in our lives. But we must also remember that they are not litters to be discarded like waste of our lives. It is simply that they have become like that old movie which you had loved so much once but due to over viewing you have lost the taste.
We must understand that variety adds taste and colour to our lives. But that doesn't give us the right to pick and discard people at our whims and fancy. Nobody is perfect and if we go as such then we will never be able to share a stable and lasting relationship with anyone. That is why it is very important that we treat each individual differently and deal with them accordingly. This is what relationship is all about. It is in relating despite the differences where a relationship will thrive. It is how you relate with them that will define the course of your interaction with them.
It is very important that we define the nature of our association with each, draw the line and accordingly establish our relationship with them. Sounds hard but very practical as it allow us to treat each other within the ambit of the allocated space in our lives. This is specially so when it concerns the opposite sexes. Whatever be the association; professional, emotional, interest based, common goals and objectives or for that matter even a physical one, the problem is not about what the association is all about but how each try to relate to each other within the ambit of the defined nature of friendship. We must be clear as to how a person relate to us. This way we can seek each according to the need and demand of the existing circumstances.
